WCAG vs Best Practice Webinar

WCAG vs Best Practice Webinar 27 June 2016

Friday, July 15, 2016

11:00 am | GMT Summer Time (London, GMT+01:00) | 1 hr

Join us for a webinar on July 15th at 11am to look at the differences between WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0) and Accessibility Best Practice.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) was developed through the W3C process in cooperation with individuals and organisations around the world, with a goal of providing a single shared, technology neutral standard for web content accessibility that meets the needs of individuals, organisations, and governments internationally.

Who is the webinar intended for?

  • Web content developers (page authors, site designers, etc.)
  • Web authoring tool developers
  • Web accessibility evaluation tool developers
  • Others who want or need a standard for web accessibility

What will you learn?

Since its launch in 2008, there has been no updated version and some may see it as out-dated as technology has moved on.

It is also sometimes viewed a 'to-do list' or 'checklist' that just adds to the everyday workload, without website owners or developers truly understanding the impacts and when to use best practice

This webinar will look at both the guidelines and best practice to better inform organisations and individuals on how and when to apply both.
